Orkut Communities

ok… first off… let me confess my love for Orkut… a great social networking place… where I get to network with ppl the way I like it…

Anyway… so I was going to write about communities… I currently have 43 communities that I am a member of… and I own one of them…  use these communities not to interact with like minded people… These communities are here to allow people, who visit my profile, to get more information about me.

You can get to know a lot about a person, just by seeing the communities that they are a part of…

here’s a list of communities that I have added till now…

OrkutCommunities

Flurry: The best screensaver ever !!

I have been using this screensaver on my Linux, Windows and I go around making it default on every mac I find. It looks much better when you see it for real, rather than on a youtube video…

This is the best screensaver I have ever used. Mac always come with it… and now many Linux distros have it too… You can get the one for windows from here or download right now:

Flurry Screensaver for Windows

Note: One issue… if you set up you windows system with dual screen, this screensaver will hang your system. So be careful…

p.s. Took the video using Nokia 6682’s video cam… :-) I have been playing with it like a child with a new toy… I love it…

Finally…

Name of the person in this post has been changed to protect her privacy…. lol… (yeah right !!)

Anyway… a few days back I was finally able to get Noniyani pissed… she rarely gets angered, but I achieved the feat after a lot of hard work… :-)

So.. this is what she had to say:

After a day… poor girl felt so bad… and said:

and another 10 mins…

he he…

p.s. got my new Nokia 6682 with Cingular… voice recorder is good… :)

I feel like I am in rehab

I just shifted into my new place… which is going to serve as a shelter for the next couple of months. November end, I will look for a new place again seeing how things work out for me in the near future. Got a pretty good deal… good big 2 bedroom 2 bath house and I get to keep one of each… :-)

Anyway… getting back to the issue… I am being treated here for addiction to Internet. I don’t have a wireless network to call of my own and that is taking the life out of me. As a friend mentioned, my state is like that of a fish out of water. I am sharing this place with a working professional and he goes to work Monday thru Friday, 7 to 7. He doesn’t really need net access at home and I totally understand that.  I on the other hand, sit at home all the time as I am currently unemployed. I am used to the luxurious life where I checked mail when I woke up, when I came out of bathroom, when I left for work, when I came back home, when I went to sleep… I am used to spending all my time online and now I have to go around looking for a place where I can get online.

This place I shifted is an apartment building complex and I have a few friends already staying here… I have been running around asking everyone if they know anyone who stays near my place, but nothing seems to be working out.

Hence, I feel like I am in rehab right now. There is always a nagging feeling that something is wrong. I am trying to look at the better side. Maybe, now I will start doing more worthwhile things offline.

Whatever be it, I hope I get well soon… :)

p.s. Made this post using Windows Live Writer (Beta) which seems to be way cooler than BlogJet.
