The storyline in the movies is fantastic. IMHO, the movie folks just thought it would be better to get rid of the wife as that would make Bourne an objective and make him independent... In face, I now like the movies so much, that I got another copy of the Bourne Supremacy and it's still half read on my table ... just not as much fun as the movies!
