MusicBrainz Tagger
Forget all I said about MP3 tagging a few days back. I just happened to find this software called MusicBrainz Tagger. It’s the best tagging software I have come across. It has a simple interface and still it is so powerful. And it’s FREE. From the website:
MusicBrainz is a community music metadatabase that attempts to create a comprehensive music information site. You can use the MusicBrainz data either by browsing this web site, or you can access the data from a client program — for example, a CD player program can use MusicBrainz to identify CDs and provide information about the CD, about the artist or about related information. You can also use the MusicBrainz Tagger to automatically identify and clean up the metadata tags in your MP3 collections.
It’s just simply great and I can seem to emphasis enough. I had eariler found MusicMatch Jukebox Plus to be the best amongst the lot that I tried, but this is far better. It’s better because it is meant to do just one thing…. to tag the MP3s. It handles multiple operations at the same time, u could be looking up information online while saving new tag information etc. It also has a built in browser for the MusicBrainz.org website. One can use this website to get more search options.
I love it…. ![]()
