Tested on : I have tested this theme with Wordpress 2.3+ and Wordpress 2.5+. I used Firefox (version 2x, 3x on Ubuntu/Windows/Mac OS X), IE (5/6/7 on Windows), Safari (Mac OS X) and Opera (Windows). It seems to be working fine.

Release Notes: I have fixed a few more bugs. Also, based on feedback, I have added a few new features. If you are upgrading, please read this post first.

Added Feature(s)

• Automatic notification of updates. Users can now see a notification of new versions on the Hemingway Options page. I picked the idea from the wordpress plugin Sociable.
• Added templates for UTW 3.x Single Tag Page and Tags Archive. Users can now use these to create required pages.
• Numbered comments
• Added Recent Comments block. It work’s out-of-the-box. Note: I have used Simple Recent Comments by George Notaras. User’s don’t need to install the plug-in for this block to work.

Bug Fixes

• Simple CSS fixes to style.css e.g. added properties for code tag
• Fixed white.css
• Removed all PHP short tags
• Less errors with CSS validator and none with XHTML validator
• Updated Javascripts used by the theme to latest versions

  • Fixed white.css provided with Hemingway theme to work with HemingwayEx. Now, if you don’t like all the dark colors of HemingwayEx, you can just go and select the white.css as the stylesheet using the options page
• Bug Fixes
  • Bottombar and Slidebar blocks scale properly on IE6, IE7 and Firefox
  • Setting of Excerpt length wasn’t working
  • Fixed an issue with IE6 and the ‘open navigation’ button
  • IE6 doesn’t work well with transparency. Fixed the background transparency for blocks in IE6
